DRC GUIDES

Fleece-Lined or Fibre-Padded Pants?

Understand the difference between a fleece inner face and fibre padding. A short comparison focused on construction, fit and how you intend to wear the pants.

An inner face is not the same as padding

Fleece is used as the inner face of the fleece-lined softshell models in this catalogue. Fibre-padded models use filling within the garment. Quilting describes a stitching pattern; on its own it does not specify the filling material or amount.

Consider fit and use together

The same size label does not guarantee the same measurements across models. Allow for any layer worn underneath and compare waist, hip and leg measurements with the product’s sizing information. A lining name alone does not establish a temperature rating or water resistance.

Comparing the DRC options

Browse fleece-lined softshell pants in their collection and padded models within motorcycle pants. Pockets, waist and hem details also matter. The two products below provide a starting point for comparing different inner constructions.
